STRATEGY & OPERATIONS
For 26 years, I served in the recruiting function for McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm. Not only did I get to recruit the world’s top campus talent (and build targeting strategies to do so), but I was also privileged to be part of the senior leadership team as a recruiting finance specialist (an odd role for an English Literature major).
When I first met Gary, I described myself as a “creative analytic” which is a spot-on descriptor, and one he has never forgotten. I love to dig into details, analyze how we can make something better and stronger, while always offering a new way of looking at something and adding a touch of flair.
In my current role at Arakelian & Associates, I’m fortunate to use so many of the skills I’ve honed over the years – research and analysis, corporate communications, fact-checking, synthesis, event coordination, problem solving – all of which I love bringing to the table as service to our internal team, our clients and their teams, and to Gary’s peer executive group members, a forum which he facilitates and chairs monthly.
My husband and I (both empty nesters) live in downtown Chicago with our cat Maggie. Almost daily, I walk along Lake Michigan, especially on windy days when the waves are high. It reminds me of New England where I grew up and still travel back to several times a year (so lucky my parents retired to Cape Cod).
