Thank you for landing here. I welcome your curiosity - and in many ways, it’s curiosity that drives what we do so well for our clients.

Like you, I’m curious about owners’ stories, how they drive growth and where the hidden value lies in the companies they’ve built.

My unique approach as a sell-side advisor stems from my own experience as an entrepreneur, CEO, and seller.

In the 1990’s and early 2000’s, I founded and grew several innovative companies that helped pioneer new categories in the marketplace.

Yet when it came time to explore the market for achieving liquidity, I was disappointed that all the valuation assessments and advice I received focused only on the financials.

While critical, the numbers can only tell us so much.

There is a much bigger story, a broader context at play, one that exists beyond just the numbers. This is especially true for privately owned, middle-market companies. When I was selling my business, I was frustrated that no one took the time to look at, understand or quantify this intrinsic value, which was so evident to me and tied so closely to the company’s future growth.  

Fast forward 20 years - I have spent the last two decades working in the very same M&A advisory sector I was reluctant to leverage back then.

I founded Arakelian & Associates with a specific goal in mind: To help other lower-middle-market business owners bring their value story to life as they explore the market for liquidity. In every case, I treat the sale of my client’s business as though it were my own.

My team and I immerse ourselves in our clients’ businesses to bring fresh perspective, help enhance their appeal, and position them for optimal value.
